Susan Coppola
Susan Kelley Coppola is a landscape artist whose work reflects a painterly approach to color and subject. Her oils feature simple styles that suggest detail while incorporating vibrant colors to convey a sense of empathy with the subject.
She began her artistic journey while studying Art at Southern Connecticut State University and continued the learning process at Naugatuck Valley Community College and Artsplace in Cheshire, CT. She has attended numerous workshops with Robert Noreika, Marija McCarthy, Frank Brickmann , David Dunlop and Carol Reeves. Influenced by these and others, she has developed a style of her own, simple and evocative.
Susan is a member of the Watertown Art League and the Ten-2-One Artists at the Crescent Gallery in Thomaston, CT. She has shown her work in the Watertown Art League's Annual shows, Cheshire Art League and Gallery 53 in Meriden, CT. She is presently affiliated with the Ten-2-One Artists, painting and showing at Crescent Gallery. Susan has had one person shows at Goldsmiths Gallery, Waterbury Hospital, Whittenore Library in Naugatuck, CT and many other venues in CT.
