Patty York MacIver

An early exposure to nature, while growing up in Goshen Connecticut, is reflected in the spirit of Patty’s art. She expresses her perceptions and feelings through paintings in oils, pastels, and photography.

Patty pursued a career in Graphic Design after receiving a Degree in Art from the University of New Haven. As an instructor of design and computer drawing at Naugatuck Valley Community College for several years, she also endeavored to bring the joy of creating to many others. For the last ten years, since 2013 she has been exhibiting with the Ten-2-One Artists. Her fine art & photography is on display at the Crescent Gallery in Thomaston, Connecticut.

“Nature has always had a profound impact on me, igniting a deep sense of inspiration that reverberates within my soul. The vibrant colors of a sunset paint an awe-inspiring masterpiece across the sky, filling me with a sense of wonder and tranquility. The rhythmic sound of waves crashing against the shore speaks to a primal part of my being, reminding me of the immense power and beauty of the natural world. The lush greenery of a forest, teeming with life, entices me to explore, encouraging a sense of curiosity and adventure. Whether it's the delicate petals of a flower or the towering majesty of a mountain range, nature's boundless creations fuel my imagination, reminding me that even in the face of chaos, there is a serene and breathtaking order to be found.” —Patty MacIver
