David W. Jean

Since he was a boy, David W. Jean has always enjoyed drawing and painting. While he made a career elsewhere art always remained a relaxation hobby. With retirement he has been able to devote time to his long time love.

Self taught, he has always drawn to the Impressionists and their bright, bold style and colors. Today his work is mainly landscape to still life. Originally in acrylics, he now paints in oils with an impressionistic bend. His latest work has included some portraits of “interesting faces”.

David has been a long time member of the Watertown Art League. As a member of the  “Ten-2-One” artists in Thomaston he enjoys Thursdays spent with good company creating art. In his long work career, he has had the opportunity to view the work of world famous artists in the Americas, Europe and South America.
